Content warning: Please note in this episode we discuss themes such as sexual violence and abuse that may be distressing or disturbing for some listeners.
Today we are joined by Amelia Trotter, an incredible Family Constellations therapist. Amelia weaves the soulful practice of Family Constellations together with Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing. Amelia’s embodied approach to Family Constellations is an experiential process that aims to release and resolve profound tensions within and between people.
Amelia believes there are many elements to wellbeing, which include mental, emotional, spiritual as well as physical aspects. Family Constellations Therapy encompasses all of these in a beautifully simple process, one which allows people to heal not only their own trauma, but inherited ancestral and family trauma as well.
Based in New Zealand, Amelia also works with clients from all over the world thanks to the magic of Zoom. With a background in criminology, criminal justice and youth work, Amelia completed two years of training in FCT under Psychiatrist Dr Chris Walsh and Therapist Catherine Ingram in Australia as well as undertaking numerous other international training in Family Constellations and Somatic Experiencing
